Some wedding days stay with you because of how people feel, and Janina and James’ wedding was one of those days; their summer wedding was filled with genuine moments.
Set against the greenery of Morgan Creek Golf Course in Surrey, BC, their green and white wedding details tied everything together beautifully.
Getting Ready: The Morning Before the Wedding
The morning began with Janina surrounded by her closest friends and family. Between the finishing touches, champagne, and her mom helping her into her veil, there were so many little moments worth remembering.
The First Look at Morgan Creek Golf Course
One of my favourite parts of Janina and James’ day was their first look. I gave them space to experience the moment together, capturing the reactions, happy tears and laughter as everything became real.
Bride and Groom Portraits
With the greenery around Morgan Creek Golf Course as the backdrop, we took some time for portraits of the two of them together. A mix of gentle direction and natural moments made room for images that felt like them.
An Emotional Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony was filled with emotion, especially as Janina and James shared the vows they had written for each other. There were tears from the couple and their guests, along with plenty of meaningful glances and quiet reactions that made the moment even more special.
Wedding Party Portraits
With a big wedding party came plenty of opportunities for photos. We captured the classic group portraits, then made room for some fun poses that let everyone relax, laugh and enjoy being part of the day.
A Summer Wedding Reception
As the day moved into the reception, the focus shifted to celebrating with family and friends. From the little interactions around the room to the larger moments of the evening, these photographs bring together the people and memories that made the day theirs.
Looking Back on Janina & James’ Wedding

Janina and James’ wedding was a reminder of why I love photographing weddings: the real emotions, the people who matter most, and the moments that unfold without needing to be directed.
If you're planning a wedding in Surrey or the Greater Vancouver area and value natural colours, genuine moments and a relaxed photography experience, I’d love to hear about your plans.
